Father's Day Weekend Fun June 16-17 2018
The club was a busy place this past weekend. Caribbean night saw lots of members enjoying fun food and drinks as Social Captain Steve spun the tunes to set the mood. The fire bowl on the deck was a big hit with kids and adults.
Many thanks to Denis and his wife Shelley for the amazing food spread.
The Sunday Father's Day BBQ was well attended and thanks to Steve and his family for doing all the cooking and playing country music. They served up over 70 burgers and hotdogs.
We did have a Father's Day card left behind - it says for Grandad from Amber and Eric. If you know who this belongs to, please respond to this email so we can get the card to Grandad.
This weekend the club is pleased to welcome about 50 Boy Scouts for the day Saturday with about 20 camping over until Sunday. The club was originally a Boy Scouts camp so it's great to have them back at BLSC. On Sunday our racers head to Guelph Lake to compete in the Wellington Cup so there will be no Sunday races at the club.
Mark your calendar for July 1, Canada Day, as that's Family Fun Day at BLSC. There will be coffee and cookies starting at noon, with fruit punch and lemonade also available. There is a BBQ, more great music, ice cream, fire bowl with S'mores on the deck and then fireworks watching from the docks at sunset. We hope to see many families come celebrate and enjoy the lake.
