13 boats competed in the Commodore's Cup in brisk, gusty, changeable winds. Paul and Ron ran the races in the big bay which was not so easy for spectators to watch but allowed for a good on the water start and perfect triangular course.
The photo shows an early member and one time Treasurer Bill Thoms and wife meeting current Commodore Denis and Life Members Derek and Margaret. Bill's daughter Megan is a current Associate member of the club. Bill remembers a group sailing from an area near the dam in the years before our club was created. This group included Joe Davis, a past Life Member of our club.
Approximately 110 people enjoyed the beautiful weather, Julie the piper, the music and the Mexican menu catered by Fergies. There were cakes to celebrate the 45 years of the Club's founding. More photos and details of the racing to come.
