- Docks and swim platforms
In 1965 at age 7 my father introduced me to sailing on an English 22ft twin keel sloop and, having no sealegs, I promptly fell in and began to drown. My father pulled me out and it seems the experience did not stop me pursuing the sport. By the age of 10 I had bought a Sunfish. In my teen years I was running a Hughes 29 on Georgian Bay. Crewed a C&C 36 in the Mackinac Race and was a delivery captain on a 40ft sloop from Ft. Lauderdale to New York. My career has been as a fibreglass boat builder and mold maker, crane operator, heavy machinery operator and two time factory manager for a manufacturing business. I currently sail a Hobie 16 and have two kayaks.
