I was born in Fergus in 1970. My father built a few boats including a Tornado that he and my mother had raced together in places such as Kingston and Florida. That sounds fun right? They did this with us 4 kids in tow to keep them busy. I have sailed for years on the Atlantic Ocean porting in Manasquan inlet New Jersey. The last boat being a 30 foot Ranger. We also had a 16 foot Prindle that we had a ton of fun on, only turtled it twice, that is what happens when you push it and the waves are too high right? In 2018 I purchased a 20 foot Tornado as a surprise for my father who is now 81. The look on his face when he took the helm of it in Honey Harbour after 40 years was something I will never forget. I love the water and sailing and all that goes with it. After all my years in construction I have worn my back and knees down and had to make a change, I now call Home Inspection my profession. I currently sit as the VP for OAHI (Ontario Association of Home Inspectors) and also sit as chair on several committees as well. I am happy to do what I can for the Belwood Lake Sailing club. I hope to be able to be as welcoming to new and current members as others have been to me in my short time at the club. Did someone hear a horn?
