Cruising on Monday Evenings at Belwood Lake

It can be great fun and very sociable to sail with other boats with a specific place or goal in mind, but without the stress of competition. Accordingly, we have set up a regular Cruising Evening where families or individuals launch their boats and sail the lake for an hour or two, perhaps round the island or up to the village of Belwood, then return to the clubsite. These evenings will again be held in 2017, every Monday starting from May 29th starting with an Open House and BBQ (See Monday Cruising Open House). For the regular evenings, you don't need to register ahead, just turn up in time to launch about 6pm, after having a discussion with the other participants about the plans for the sail. It is expected these will be very relaxed unstructured evenings, and any ideas from the sailors may be considered - how about a BBQ afterwards, or a campfire?

Of course, you may sail on the lake anytime, and set up your own group to sail together, but Monday Evening Cruising will we hope become a regular weekly event where you know you will meet up with other sailors and have a good time sailing in a fleet on our lake.
