Buoy to deter Jetskis

The GRCA has granted us permission to float a buoy off the long dock for the season to deter speeding jetskis (seadoos) and other craft from speeding too close to the docks, boats, and swimmers.

For the safety of everyone please do not swim off the docks. The swim platform now has a ladder installed.

This swim platform is kept fairly close to shore and has the red buoy out in front of it to help ensure no boats come near it.

The OPP have been to the club and both the marine and road patrols are aware of the issue. If members witness any aggressive boating the OPP ask that it be reported by calling 1 888 310 1122. If there is an immediate threat of harm or injury please call 911. Videos and/or photos are also most helpful in identifying those involved as well as documenting the issue to the OPP and GRCA. The club's AED and first aid kit can be found together in the clubhouse on the wall near the bulletin board.
